TivaWater was founded in 2009 in response to a need for a revolutionary technology to provide safe water to a world without access to chemicals and electricity, with the TivaWater Home water filter as its flagship product. This has since grown to include a working partnership between a local business leader and American business philanthropists, a sustainable business has been established, bringing employment to over 25 youths directly and over 500 indirectly through our growing network of retail outlets.

Research and innovation for health
TivaWater invests on research to improve our ability to offer safe water to varied community types ranging from rural households, where we crafted the TivaWater filter; Urban communities, where we set up a bottled water distribution service; school communities, where we set up water vending machines and other large population groups where we have developed unique solutions to meet their needs.
TivaWater continues to innovate healthy options to reduce plastic waste and has become the first company to introduce polycarbonate bottle manufacturing in Uganda. Unlike the PET bottle, the Polycarbonate bottle is easy to recycle and TivaWater has invested in this technology to eliminate the challenge of dumping of damaged bottles.
